We are in Michigan at my wife’s family for a family funeral. It turns out her uncle has a full milling setup in his basement, with a wood lathe and a metal lathe. (And half a dozen other tools and toys besides)
URGENT EDIT: My daughter, who looked at this post for a grand total of SEVEN EARTH SECONDS, said that I write like everyone else on the internet, she has seen 10 posts exactly like this one. So for her I say "Fingle, blork, burgle SNARGLEPUSS."
It's so common, everyone who is on the internet who is about my age, give or take a decade, all say that the internet used to be SO MUCH BETTER in the 90s.
I'm trying something out with the formatting of this page. I updated my website software and it has this new table format. The table like, autogrows and re-formats itself based on how much you type into it. I'm not going to align it or anything, I'm just going to see how it looks as this page grows. It looks wonky some of the time and I can't be arsed to fix it. Too much shit on the internet tries to be perfect all of the time.
When working on the various forms of caffenol and other DIY developers, I often found it difficult to keep track of all of the different amounts of developer I needed to make. For instance, the recipe for 1 liter of Caffenol C-L is
Last night I had a dream that I owned a franchise restaurant that was slowly doing worse and worse. I couldn’t stop the decline, and I kept thinking about past mistakes that kept feeding into the spiral.
Depressing! So I woke up.
Everyone was sick so I went to church and played the bass. It rained while I was inside playing. It’s been very dry recently, so I checked under the mulch after the rain, and the mulch was damp but the soil was bone dry.
Today was supposed to be taking my daughter to a Girl Scout day camp, but she was running a fever.
Instead I started trying to print some 3D parts for my sons Halloween costume (bits kept lifting off the build plate, so not a success there), and I did some processing of black walnuts that I got at my friend’s house.
I’ve been washing the walnuts after I hull them and it was excruciating slow going. One dude on YouTube said not to bother, and I find myself agreeing with him.
Today I spent a much needed hour in the garden weeding and pruning tomatoes. I was going to go back up with some stakes to get the tomatoes tied up but the rest of the day got away from me. In the evening I went fishing with some of the boys. Power baits crappie nibblers really get the little fish going, but we were at the bottom of the container. I like these things, and only recently started using them in the past month. It's like having a bunch of waxworms that never go bad.
