Ty Coughlin is a douchebag
My friend Steve Gigl posted about the Ty Coughlin scam over at his blog, and he does a pretty good job of tearing it apart. I have only one thing to add: every time I hear those damn commercials I turn off the radio and just listen to a podcast instead. I don’t care what the radio host is talking about, he could raise George Washington from the dead to talk about immigration reform, but once they break for commercial and that steaming pile of excrement starts laughing into the microphone, I’m done. You can infer from that statement exactly how much radio I’ve listened to over the past month.
In other news, I’m really working through my podcast backlog.

Good point, and something I forgot to mention: the station gets changed or I shut the radio off if I’m close enough and have my hands free. And often I forget to turn it back or back on, which you’d think would come back to haunt the station eventually (especially since he’s on every blasted commercial break).

That commercial is repugnant (as is that horrible picture of Ty Coughlin floating around the internet).

He–”Ty”–says he’s commercials are “live.” I don’t believe him. It’s a tape.
And annoying? That’s hardlt the word. yoyu get the feeling he’s talking to a bunch of shmucks he too familiarly calls “guys”–as in “Hey guys,” as ho he’s known us all his life.
Just listenting to hios cimmercials shouts SCAM all over. If he were really smart, he wouldn’t be so blatanat\ntly obvious–exceopt for the dummies.
by the way, he doesn’t furnish a “CONTACT US” e-mail address so that i could tell him how much of a gas bag he is. The only e-mail he firnishes is for one to receive his junk.
FWD FWD FWD FWD!!!!! To ALL

Update: don’t be too hard on the local station… It’s a network-placed ad, and they’ve complained to the network about it several times after hearing from other annoyed listeners.

I switch the station every time I hear this ad.
That “Are we live?” works the first time you hear it and it grabs you’re attention, but after the one thousandth time, it loses its punch.

You aren’t the only one who changes the station when this douchebag comes on the radio…. no exceptions. I also change it when the singing idiot comes on about the not-so-free credit reporting service. Where do they get all this money to afford all this expensive advertising?
