Words my 19 month old daughter picked up immediately:
- Cookie
- Cake
- Berries
- Flowers
- Music
- Olive
- Juice
- Poopy
- Shoes
Phrases my 19 month old daughter still has problems with:
- Come here please
- Leave that alone
- I’ll be right back
- Put that down
- Let go of Kitty’s tail
- Stop eating rocks
- No, Goddamnit
- Get back here!

Very familiar, except I’d add “Listen to me!” to the 2nd list… although, when you think about it, it’s pretty hilarious that I even say it.

I think you might be confusing not understanding with not caring. but don’t worry, I’m sure she’ll make sure you learn in the years to come.
