Google is the new Skynet
Researchers have discovered an extremely clever method for using Google Sets as a proxy for common sense. This is huge, it’s hard to convey how huge this is (I’m kicking myself for not having thought of it first!)
We’re not going to wind up with one or two big AIs, oh no. Anyone will be able to create one on their dinky home computer, and, using Google APIs, will be able to offload all of the heavy processing to the Google Memory Bank and just crunch the results. For the cost of a web service call, you can clarify ambiguity in a way that no single computer could ever possibly do.
