		<description>That would certainly help.  Of course, the fools failed to think of how much money might be brought into the town from bird-geek tourists.  As far as buying the land above fair market value goes, I'm sure some of those bird-geeks would pay ridiculous amounts of money to be able to live next to those woodpeckers.  Now they've probably just F'd themselves.

The same thing was happening all over the West Coast of New Zealand when I was there.  Everyone was clear-cutting as much land as they could before the government could designate it as critical habitat.</description>
