We’re back, and we’re married.

The wedding was awesome. Peggy and I are married now, and we’re still trying to get used to the idea. Amy was right, the weirdest thing about being married is that you feel like exactly the same person the day before the wedding as you do the day after the wedding. Anyway, I won’t say the wedding “went without a hitch”, because as our friend Carolyn put it, there was a pretty big hitch… we’re hitched!

Here’s how you know our reception was rockin’: at one point during the reception, my dad and his twin brother jumped up on a table and started dancing. I didn’t get a picture of it, but a lot of people did and have promised to send them to me. I’ll also be putting up random wedding/honeymoon pics over the next few days.

Thanks to all you guys who showed up, I hope you had a good time. And thanks to all of the people who couldn’t come but sent their well-wishes, we really appreciate your support. Special internet thanks to Noah for his wonderfully thoughtful post on our wedding day, and to Geof for his John-and-Peggy themed blog post as well. We certainly weren’t expecting blog posts about us getting married when we were actually getting married! I like to think of it as hearing a virtual echo from events that happen in the physical world.

Of course, there were some other things that we weren’t really expecting when we got back, but now I’m foreshadowing my next post…

speaking of those of us who didnt come…. where you still planning a Minnesota reception at the end of the month? oh, to celebrate your wedding I did go out after work that day. I had a glass of wine in your honor, and then I had my very first long island ice tea (not in your honor, someone ordered me one while my back was turned) after that I had me second long island……… (still no hang over though)
