Blog shuffling
I was talking to Jo from Jo’s Attic at the Minnesota State Fair, and I mentioned that I first started a blog in 1998. “It wasn’t a particularly good blog, nor did it last very long, mainly because there wasn’t any foofy blogging software back then that was free and usable on linux,” I said. “Oh, but what’s the name of it?” “Well… it changed names and moved several times, and the only weblog with my posts that’s really up right now is Crazy But Able…” “You should put all of the old posts up!” she said.
So I am. I just wanted to explain why there’s suddenly posts from 1998 (way before wordpress was written) in the archive in the sidebar. I have no idea if posts from 1998 will suddenly start showing up in your RSS readers, or, for that matter, how you can tell that I’ve put new ones up. I guess I’ll try to remember to make a regular post when I finish a month.
Of course, most of the URLs are stale. I’ll try to link them back to web.archive.org when I can.
