Tucson mini-break!

I’ve had a really good feeling about work lately. Everybody is getting into a groove and rubbing each other’s rough edges off. I like the manager, my supervisor, and my co-workers. My general good feelings are even being extended to other branches and the head office. I know it sounds nice of me to bestow my approval on everybody *heavy sarcasm* but I just really like everybody. We had some mild trauma last week and I am so thankful for everyone’s support–especially my supervisor. She was so strong and so there for me that I can’t imagine working here without her. I finally feel like everything here is gelling. So, work good.

This weekend is a three day weekend for us and we had big plans to go to Phoenix to visit some friends. I just love Phoenix in the middle of summer! As it turns out, they are already having visitors so that was out. Now we’re going to Tucson instead. We went there a couple of, well, five years ago for our 2 year anniversary and had a really good time so we’re going to sort of revisit it. We also lived there for a summer while Devin was doing an internship with the Arizona Department of Transportation. At first I wasn’t that excited about going out to the middle of the desert in the middle of summer, but after I got to thinking about it, it sounds like BIG fun. We’re staying at the Hilton (because supporting wildlife is very important to me…) and we’re going to a fancy restaurant too. And we’re going to eat at the Cracker Barrel and watch the fireworks and lay around at the pool. If it’s hot I’ll go on about it being a dry heat but the monsoon season may have started so that’s good:)
