See, I'm just the opposite. I wonder what people back then would think of life today.

The show was pretty interesting. Ever since I was little, I always wondered what it was like to live back in that time...and I thought it would be so neat to travel back and live life the way they did. It would probably make me a bit more appreciative of the "little things" in life.
Something I liked about the show was that the Governor was getting so down and frustrated about everybody disobeying different laws... (No, that's not the part I liked)... Well he was all depressed and saying that today was his 25th wedding anniversary, and he can't be with his family. (25 years, That's a big deal! He SHOULD be with his family!..in particular his wife)
So then the show talked about how they got his wife and 2 kids to "come back to the settlement"! (I guess they had been there before in another episode, I don't know.) So his family showed up and surprised him. It was such a touching moment.

Some things with the show are obviously not very realistic of that time of day. I know that they used to hang people and burn them at the stake, etc. But they can't show those sort of things with a reality show. I'm not saying I want to see someone die, but you just can't get the full effect of living back then. Oh well... I guess we'll never really know exactly what it was like.
