Lamb and fish
I had a great day yesterday. I got my hair cut and chatted with the stylist. I like chatting with people and making connections, that’s the best. I went to the bookstore and actually bought books. I can’t remember the last time I bought new full priced books, I usually just get them at the library or a used bookstore. The library here is huge but has suprisingly few fiction books, I mean, they even have a fireplace and more computers than any other library I’ve been in but not so much on books. After my book buys I had lunch at In-n-Out burger. Yum. Sigh. They have the best everything and if you’ve never been to one the menu has about 6 options: Hamburger, cheesebuger, doublecheesebuger, fries, pop, or shake. No chicken, fish, or any other crap just blissfully tasty bugers. Then I read, watched some TV, and finally found out what the three-eyed turtle is. I had been trying to find out what it was for about 3 years and every time I asked someone about it they either didn’t know or wouldn’t tell me. But John told me! So, that little mystery is solved. And finally after a great dinner with my man we had apple pie.
I had a dream last night about laying in the grass at night in front of a big white house. There was lots of green, dewey grass and tall leafy trees. A lot of people were in the grass with me and we were looking at the stars. One guy was near me and he had a scar near his eyebrow, just like me. It was very relaxing. I wish I had dreams like that every night…
So the grocery workers are still striking. It’s the sixth day now. They are striking for health benefits and who doesn’t want to support that but the catch is that currently they have full medical with no premium. The stores are proposing a $5 premium or $15 for the family every two weeks. I pay $18 bi-weekly for just myself. I think the workers are being greedy and don’t want to support their unreasonable demands, but Devin’s grandpa helped get the union into General Motors and I’d hate to think of him seeing us cross the picket line. I’m trying not to think of the deals at the stores and trying to focus on the new places I’m going to find. I just wonder how long I’m gonna be able to hold out before giving in. I’m just glad I don’t live in LA because they have the grocery strike, the mechanic strike (I’m not really sure about that one) which affects public transportation, and the law enforcement is participating in rolling sick-outs. As if that place didn’t suck enough.
Oh, by the way, what is the first thing that comes to mind when you hear these two words: Lamb, fish?

*cringe* Oh man, I can only imagine the google hits I’m going to get for three eyed turtle.
Let me point out that I had no idea what it was when you asked me, I had to google for it.

John, why are you defending yourself? So what if you did already know what it was? So what if you do it five times a day? As long as you don’t do it with kids or animals…
