Bonfire Hot
I had a pretty good weekend! We were originally going to go to Disneyland but ended up going to Phoenix instead. I had a 3 day weekend and it was great! Some friends of ours had a personal tragedy and we went to visit them. It would have been messed up to go to the happiest place in the world while our friends really needed us. We left as soon as I got off work on Friday night at 7:30 and headed off for a five hour drive over the mountains and through the desert. And past some casinos. I tried to stay awake to help Devin stay awake but I kept falling asleep. He said my neck was bent over in a weird angle. We got to Phoenix at around 1:30 and checked into a Red Roof Inn. The next day we pretty much just hung out at our friends house. I left the house once to go buy chick beer and Old Milwakee’s Best. That’s kinda weird. I hate when I get to the end of a day and I realize that I only left the house to get the mail. We lived in Tucson, Arizona for a summer a couple years ago and I ended up not working for the summer because it was going to interfere with our social plans. We lived in a travel trailer at a RV/water park and some days I only left that tiny trailer to get the mail and take a shower at the shower building. It was kinda cool because I would watch old black and white Matlock and listen to the radio and take a lot of naps. Crazy. Anyway, we hung out with our friends like the whole weekend. It was so hot there! It wasn’t as hot as it is in the summer but still…hot is hot dammit! I believe the average temp in Phoenix is Volcano. Or Surface of the Sun.
Blissfully, the recall will be over soon. Sigh.
