Moving Tom’s stuff; sewer cleaners

Well, yesterday went mostly as planned. Oh, except for learning that I needed four new tires for my car. I guess with AWD vehicles you have to replace them all at once. I thought the front left one had a slow leak — it really had 5 holes and a piece of metal sticking out the side. Anyway, that was early morning. Went right to the city to pick up Tom. Moved his stuff okay. Had an interesting conversation about agricultural subsidies, local radio stations, and alternative campaign financing.

We picked up Peggy somewhere in there and went to one of the original Lotus restaurants (the one near the alumni center on the U campus.) The food was excellent, and there was so much I wound up (eventually) getting three meals out of it. Afterwards we went to the Depth of Field yarn shop (sounds like it needs to be a photography shop) and I got a couple of skeins of yarn for hat projects.

Today: the sewer guys came. Spent some time cleaning the room and more thinking about economics. In fact, I got a critique of a Paul Krugman column in the works that I’m hoping to get done tonight.

So these skeins of yarn that you picked up, are they for you? Do YOU knit or crochet?

Of course they’re for me. ;) I knit, or at least, I know how to knit. I have no idea how to crochet and don’t care to learn how.
