Grrrrrr….
I had this nice update post all finished, and was working on a foofy economic analysis of the costs and tradeoffs of electing or appointing new government officials. I took a break to get gas so I wouldn’t have to in the morning. When I came back I set my keys down and accidently pressed escape, which deleted my entire post from the text box. If anyone knows how to make internet explorer give back posts it steals when you press esc, I’d be glad to hear about it.
My computer (with the foofy keyboard) still isn’t hooked up yet, because I’ve been working on non-computer related urgent or important things. Without my foofy keyboard I can’t type nearly as much, nor can I type nearly as fast.
Today we had the semi-annual cleaning out of the garage. You have to do it right before winter, you know, so you can beat back the accumulated cruft, organize what can be organized, pitch what can be pitched, and sweep the floor before it gets covered in snow and ice. It took all day. After that I went and covered a meeting for the paper. On the way home from the paper I thought about the costs involved in replacing elected officials in economic terms, and very sadly that’s the part of this post that I’m not going to retype because it’s a lot and I’ve even thought of a few more things over the past half hour, and I’ve got to omit something because it’s getting close to my bedtime.
When I got back from the meeting, mom showed me how the sewer was backing up into the basement. Tomorrow, that has to get fixed, as well as my left front tire and we have to move a bunch of crap for my brother Tom. So I’ve got a full day tomorrow too. I know I have a few unanswered e-mails that I haven’t replied to yet; I keep telling myself that I’ll do it when I reconnect my computer, but these other real life projects keep getting priority. I know that all of the people who are waiting for replies read my weblog; apologies that it’s taking so long.
(Did I mention that I’m really bummed out that I lost all of the economic analysis stuff? I know most of you could care less, but I really like this stuff.)
