Soysages
Well, I karaoke-ed. It was very weird. Of course, I stunk. Other people in the group said I was “good” but I’m pretty sure they were being “polite.” There was one girl with us, Dianne, that sang “I will always love you” by Whitney Houston and just blew everyone away. Now that Whitney is a crackhead SHE probably can’t sing the song as well as Dianne did. I sang a Dixie Chicks song and a Willie Nelson song. I think if I had been more drunk it would have been more fun. I was trying to but my kidneys are conditioned for cocktails. I got to meet all of my co-workers signifigant others and one guy is a marine but for some reason I asked him where he works! Duh! Our friend Tiphaine was staying with us this weekend and we had a blast. I got to try out my hospitality in our new apartment. We made waffles and I bought some soysages but Tiph was like “No way.” We did some stuff. Good times.
Is anybody else watching Carnivale on HBO? I wasn’t sure HBO could come up with another good show but I’m totally hooked. I think about it all week long. The main guy is pretty cute-I wish he had more lines. I think he’s the good guy but who’s the bad guy? The pastor? The blind psychic? What is up with Chin’s? Is the fortune teller going to be okay? Hmm… The stuff on HBO is the only appointment TV we watch. I used to watch Antiques Roadshow but since we moved out here I haven’t been able to find it:( I always ask anybody with even a faint english-type accent if they watch Antiques Roadshow and they usually say yes. I always like it when the appraisers say some piece of rusted out junk is worth bank. The coolest think I’ve seen is a Navajo indian blanket that some old guy (or PC: elderly gentleman) brought in. The appraiser couldn’t believe what he was seeing and told the guy he had a national treasure worth $500,000. Damn. The old guy had had no idea. I think Willie Nelson is a national treasure. Abe Lincoln’s mom had a national treasure. I look around the stuff at my apartment and I don’t see any cool roadshow offerings. You just never know what the heck you’re gonna see on that show.

Soysages? It sounds like a transliteration of a bad accent. Are they any good? I like sausage but can’t have it most of the time because it has lots of nitrates which give me migranes, so if the soysages aren’t too bad they might work as a substitute.
(Substitute! (me for him) Substitute! (my coke for gin) … Hmmm. It’s all about early morning scatterbrainedness.)

I think they are very good especially because I don’t have to worry about if I’m chewing on an intestine. Don’t know about the nitrates though.
