From one bird to another

This year (2006) was the first year I've ever seen the "Please do not touch or taunt the birds" signs in the bird cage exhibit. I saw more teenagers and little boys banging cages, touching, and taunting birds in the first five minutes I was in the exhibit, than I had ever seen, ever. Just to be clear: the total instances of bird taunting, poking, and cage banging I've seen in the previous 14 times I've seen the bird exhibit at the State Fair: zero. There's a lesson in there somewhere. Of course, once I saw the sign, I was completely unable to keep myself from taking this photo.
